When it comes to creating our apparel products, we choose premium brands that are comfortable, fit well, and made to last.

Our designs are printed with the latest Direct to Garment printing technology (DTG), using eco-friendly, water-based inks. This process gives the apparel a softer, more comfortable feel than traditional screen print, but it is just as durable.

Even with the best printing technology, harsh treatment such as beating your apparel on a rock to clean it can ruin the illustrations.

We recommend these steps for cleaning your new Otter Things® apparel:

Otter Cleaning

Machine wash the item inside-out, in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors. Only use non-chlorine bleach, when necessary, and skip fabric softeners.

Tumble dry on low, or hang dry for the longest life. Otters don’t care about wrinkles, but if you do, you can use a cool iron on the inside-out apparel if necessary.

Do not iron the decoration or dry clean your Otter Things® apparel. These processes will ruin your wearable art.

Wait, what’s that smell?

If you notice any strong vinegar odors or off-white residue on your t-shirt when you receive it, don’t worry! These elements are from the special solution used for printing and can sometimes leave marks during the drying process. These are not stains and will wash off after the first wash cycle, along with the odor
